Nearest airport is Jiuzhaigou Huanglong (JZH), 100 km away. Buses from Chengdu (Chadianzi station) take 7–9 hrs (¥100–130). Local minibuses connect to Jiuzhaigou (2 hrs), Huanglong (2 hrs), and Zoige grasslands. Within town, everything is walkable. 成都茶店子车站有班车前往,车程约6-8小时。县城内可包车前往各景点。
Songpan has excellent Hui Muslim restaurants serving hand-pulled noodles, lamb skewers, and flatbreads (¥15–30/meal). Tibetan restaurants offer yak meat, tsampa, and butter tea. Budget travelers eat well for ¥30–50/day. The night market near the south gate is lively. 羌族酸菜、腊肉和豆花是特色美食,县城有多家川菜馆和藏族餐厅可供选择。
