Kunshan is on the Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed rail line (20 min from Shanghai Hongqiao). Shanghai Metro Line 11 extends to Huaqiao in Kunshan. Zhouzhuang is 30 km from Kunshan city center.
Kunshan is famous for Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs (大闸蟹, best Oct-Nov, ¥100-300+ per crab), Aozao noodles (奥灶面), and various Jiangnan freshwater fish dishes. Budget ¥40-80, mid-range ¥100-200.
