康定机场 (KGT) at 4,280 m is世界最高机场之一，有成都航班（40分钟，¥400–800）。成都新南门汽车站有班车（6–7小时，¥100–130）。318国道穿城，骑行者众多。从康定县城到木格措景区需包车或拼车（约1小时，¥50–80往返）。折多山垭口距县城约30公里，需自驾或包车前往。注意高原适应，避免剧烈运动。
Kangding has a strong mix of Tibetan, Han, and Sichuan restaurants. Must-try dishes include 牦牛火锅 (yak hotpot, ¥60–120/person), 糌粑粥 (tsampa barley porridge), 酥油茶 (butter tea), and Sichuan classics like 麻婆豆腐 and noodles (¥15–30). The river-side night market has cheap local snacks including yak skewers and barley cakes. A few Western cafes near the main square serve coffee and simple international breakfasts.
