Jianshui Confucius Temple
建水文庙
The second-largest Confucian temple in China, founded in 1285 during the Yuan Dynasty. Unlike its counterparts in Qufu or Hanoi, Jianshui's temple includes a large lake called Xuehai ('The Sea of Learning') with a pavilion on an island. The existing buildings date mostly to the late 18th century with ornate gates and halls honoring Confucius.
