Transport note

Danba is accessible from Chengdu by bus (6–7 hrs via Luding, ¥80–120) or from Kangding (3–4 hrs). The road through the Dadu River gorge is scenic but winding. No airport or train. A popular loop combines Danba with Kangding, Xinduqiao, and Tagong. Local minibuses serve the villages.

Food note

Danba town has a good selection of Sichuan and Tibetan restaurants. Local specialties include Dadu River fish, yak meat, and Jiarong Tibetan flatbread. Meals ¥25–60/person. Village guesthouses often serve home-cooked Tibetan meals included with accommodation. Budget ¥40–70/day.
